How the free trial works

Common questions
Do I need a credit card for the trial?expand_more
No. The trial starts without a card - we don't have one, so we can't charge you. Billing starts only when you subscribe yourself.
What happens to my data after 28 days?expand_more
Nothing is deleted. The workspace pauses and your data waits 80 days - subscribe within that time and everything continues exactly where it stopped.
Can I cancel anytime?expand_more
Yes, in the web app, no calls and no notice periods. Access remains until the end of the paid period.
Does it work offline, in the field?expand_more
Yes. Data is saved on the device and syncs automatically once you're back online - a site with no signal is not a problem.
Which devices does it run on?expand_more
Web, Android, iOS and macOS - the team on phones, you on a computer. Everything stays in sync.
How long does setup take, and do I have to train anyone?expand_more
Setup takes minutes: create the company, pick your trade and invite the team by email. In the app an employee sees one big clock-in button - that is all they need to know on day one.
Can an employee clock in from somewhere else?expand_more
Clock-in only works inside the radius you set for that workplace, and every entry stores the time and the location. You set the radius per employee, so field work and the office can follow different rules.
Does Clocker help with statutory working-time records?expand_more
Hours are recorded the moment they happen and stay on record with time, location and author, and you export the records to CSV or PDF for your accountant or an inspection.
Who can access my company's data?expand_more
Your company's data is separated from everyone else's and only your team sees it, following the permissions you set. We never sell it and never use it for advertising. The database and files sit on Google's Firebase infrastructure in the EU, and a handful of providers under contract handle payments, invoices and email, all on our instructions - except the card processor, which decides its own fraud checks and legal checks. All of them are named in the Privacy Policy.
Why is billing every 28 days instead of monthly?expand_more
Because you pay per day, and 28 days is exactly four weeks. Every invoice is the same and covers exactly the days that were paid for - with monthly billing, February costs the same as July although it is three days shorter. The first 28 days are free, and after that you pay each following 28-day period in advance, at the same daily rate.
How many people can I add during the free trial?expand_more
During the trial a workspace can hold up to 5 people, the owner included - enough to try Clocker on real work. A subscription removes that limit and the team grows without any plan to upgrade; only the reasonable technical limits in the Acceptable Use Policy apply.
